confession time....:-)

yep...still in the plastic wrapper...

I'm a little worried about the fair...well more so about going down those isle's with the people with all the booths that are selling "stuff". Honestly it freaks me out. Before we walk in we make a game plan. You never go in alone..Never!! You have to have someone beside you. You have to keep a conversation going between you both so it makes it more difficult for the person to "get your attention". Never...I repeat...NEVER make eye contact!! Don't sign up for Anything. One time at a Home Show in Michigan we signed up to win a free chainsaw or something. About a month after we got home we received a phone call telling us we won a trip to the Bahamas...WOW...well long story short it was going to cost us a ton of money in fees. The whole thing just really made me sick!

Now honestly I'm just kidding around for the most part. Especially here at our little County Fair. Most of the people that are selling things are people we know and we Want to stop and visit. I rarely find any High Pressure Salespeople at our Fair..well....except....the nice older couple that was selling the waterless pots and pans...This was a few years ago and Rob and I were together..thankfully. Although I am still confused at who wanted the pots and pans more. We sat through this demonstration of how Amazing they were. Then of course they cooked and you were able to taste that food. That right there was the downfall for my husband. You begin to tell Rob something about food and he is sold. Not to mention that this was the first year of Rob's gardening. They couldn't say enough about how healthy it made your food and they began to cut up carrots and potatoes and peppers and onions...I looked at Rob and just knew we were going home with this stuff. Now don't get me wrong I was in LOVE with it all too. My eyes were pretty glazed over as well. But Rob NEVER gives into stuff like that. There are decisions that take Rob Years to make. There are few times that he has buckled under the pressure of a salesperson...Those being...(and I only share these for your entertainment...you are never allowed to tell my husband that I divulged this information - I will deny it and say you must have hacked into some system somewhere else because it wasn't from me...) okay...The Encyclopedia collection that we purchased 2 months after we were married..(I will sell them cheap) The photo developing that we bought at some motel after we got a postcard in the mail...Honestly I still don't know how that one was suppose to work. I know it involved using the mail so it was sure to fail with me...Our Kirby vacuum...now that one was a good one - that was about 17 years ago and I LOVE it (and nobody is going to change my mind and try to sell me some canister thing!) The Daewoo Excavator...(now that one is a sore spot...OUCH!)the 4 wheeler that we bought when passing by and it was just like the old one we had that we love. The problem was that at the time Rob was literally knocked out in the seat beside me with a migraine. I pointed it out and pulled in to look - Rob said okay and so I bought it..I thought it would help his migraine. It has only made it last for the past 4 years. And then the pots and pans at the fair. Now it's not like I don't use them because I do. I just don't use them they way you are suppose to. I know they are suppose to be Magical or something but I use them just like plain ol' pots and pans. I Know, I Know - I might enjoy them better if I watched the video that came with them but I never have. And let me tell you -If I knew WHY I haven't that would help ALOT of my problems...but the fact is - it has never been opened...

So if you see Rob and I at the Fair mum's the word - got it? Okay, I say that but I will probably read this to him later so he will be gearing up for it...He always says, "don't worry, I have broad shoulders.."

Today I dream for you the ability to laugh about the crazy things that you have done in your life. The "stupid" decisions that weren't life altering but still just put a knot in your stomach. Let it Go!! Give yourself the freedom to move forward and laugh!! (And here's the deal - you can only harass Rob and I if you fess up to at least one story like this of yours...and don't even tell me you don't have one...LOL...) Have a Fun day friends!!

I, too, have a set of waterless cookware. Got roped in by a door-to-door salesman right after high school graduation--when I really couldn't afford them. And, like you, I've rarely ever used them as "waterless" -- but have to admit they're good as new after 45 years of use, so they really weren't a bad buy after all.
